Beautiful location, great lodge, spacious garden. Clean, white sheets and towels. Surprisingly good WiFi, despite website saying none. Comfortable, unfussy interior with easy-to-use appliances. Lovely verandah and outside seating with sheep nearby. Perfect for exploring southern Lakes and Ulverston/Barrow peninsula. Will happily return.

The location of the lodge was excellent, providing picturesque views of the surrounding area. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere added to the overall charm of the place. The lodge itself was comfortable and unfussy, with appliances that were easy to use.

The owners could have been more present and helpful in terms of guiding and assisting guests with finding and accessing the property.

We had a wonderful stay at Buttermere in Ulverston. The location was absolutely beautiful and the lodge itself was great. The garden was spacious and well-maintained, and we loved spending time on the verandah. The house was clean and comfortable, with crisp white sheets and towels. One pleasant surprise was the WiFi, which was not mentioned on the website but worked perfectly. We were able to enjoy the picturesque views and appreciate the true beauty of the lodge and its surroundings, which the pictures we saw before didn't fully capture. we had everything we needed for a fantastic short break and would definitely choose to stay here again.

    Was all great! 😊

Great value for money, with a comfortable and clean room. The location was stunning, with beautiful views and plenty of space in the garden. The staff were attentive and helpful.

Hotel breakfast could have been better, maybe by offering a wider variety of options.

Beautiful views and peaceful location. The lodge was comfortable and had all the necessary appliances. The outdoor seating area was a bonus, especially with the sheep on the nearby hillside. Great location for exploring the southern Lakes and Ulverston/Barrow peninsula.

The control of the heating was limited due to the use of electric storage heaters. The curtains/blinds in the bedroom were not effective in blocking out the sunlight once the sun rose.

Title: Perfect and spacious, loved it!

Oh, how I adored the curtains, so light-proof during the darkness, but who needs that early morning sun spoiling a good lie-in anyway?
